Success comes not only from hard work and talent, but also from being nice to others – everyone you meet is important, and it is essential to treat them that way. This attitude not only helps build relationships but also leads to success in your personal and professional life. Harry Truman once said, “It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.” By helping others, you can also help yourself.

One of the ways to help others is by enabling them to solve their problems by themselves. This not only solves the immediate issue but also prepares them for the future. It is worth mentioning that weaknesses are often the flip side of our strengths. For example, someone who is good at problem-solving might struggle in long meetings. However, by understanding these weaknesses, you can overcome them and become more successful.

Letting go of your pride and focusing on cooperation, you will do much better. When you stop keeping score and view yourself as a supporting actor in someone else’s life, you can improve your relationships.

Optimism is another essential factor in success. Research shows that optimists are more successful than pessimists. When faced with rejection, optimists think of it as temporary and move on, while pessimists see it as permanent and pervasive. Thus, optimists are more likely to keep going, while pessimists are demoralized and give up.

Inclusion is crucial in our society. Jay Leno famously said that he asks the least important person in the room whether something is funny or not, indicating the importance of valuing everyone’s opinion. We live in a society of exclusion.  But if you go through life with the opposite attitude and try to include everybody, it opens up doors.” Success comes from treating everyone with respect and kindness, helping others to solve their problems, understanding our weaknesses, letting go of pride and focusing on cooperation, being optimistic, and valuing everyone’s opinion. By implementing these principles in our lives, we can become more successful and build better relationships.
