Very dry book that explains about American accounting and bookkeeping aimed at entry level for a business person. Follows an imaginary business and explains how you would fill in all the boxes from the top to the bottom line. You may want to fill in the spreadsheet when you go along if you wanted to benefit from this book, I visualised the sheet and was pleased didn’t have to complete it!
The appendix is quite interesting as it explains business fraud and speculative bubbles such as schemes set up by Mr Ponzi! Although to be fair at the end of this book, given the topic, anything is interesting! Nonetheless an important topic to have a basic understanding of.
